I had been searching for the right place to pursue recovery, but nothing seemed right until I came here. I knew coming here was worth it because there are so many opportunities for me here. I'm finally getting my high school diploma, and even better, I'm learning to live for Jesus! I hope to develop a strong relationship with Jesus and accept who I am and who He made me to be. I hope to prosper in all I do and share how God has changed my life with those around me.

I came to Teen Challenge because I could not stop drinking no matter what I did. I was suicidal. My life had gotten to the point that I saw no escape; I was totally trapped by alcohol. It was in a brief moment of clarity that I was able to make a phone call and get another chance at life. Now I will do whatever it takes to be restored to who God created me to be.

I was living a life of sin, a slave to my addictions. My addictions were a product of my past trauma. I came to Teen Challenge to finally heal from my traumatic experiences and gain freedom from addiction by develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. By drawing closer to God, I believe that I will be able to answer His calling on my life and fulfill the purpose He has for me.

I came here so I could learn to live a life glorifying to God. I want to grow closer to God. I also want to become a better mom to my kids. I hope to be able to apply the Word of God in my life and to be faithful to Him for the rest of my life.

I was lost, deep in depression and addiction. I had stopped taking care of myself and left the care of my children to my parents. Rock bottom came when I was convinced b those around me, including myself, that I was completely unable to be a mother to my children. I signed away my parental rights. I was done. But God was not done with me! I am here by His grace. He has breathed life into me again, and I believe that hope is not lost.

Before coming to Teen Challenge, my lifestyle was destructive and very dangerous. After my divorce six years ago, I fell deeper into darkness that I had ever gone before. Thankfully, God had His hand on me and a plan for my life! Though I was baptized in 2019, I have only realized what it means to have a personal relationship Jesus Christ since I arrived here in May.

I came here because I was broken and shattered, and I was just so tired of existing only for myself. Before coming here, my days were spent doing everything I could to numb out and escape myself, my past, and my shame. Now that I have hope in Jesus, I am learning how to have a real relationship with God.

I met God when I was little, but I never understood how great His love was for me. I came to Teen Challenge because I chased what the world had for me, but it left me physically, mentally, and spiritually broken. It led me back to addictions and left me alone and isolated with my sin. I was bruised through hardships and trials, but God saved me. He paved the way, healed my wounds, and keeps His word.

While I am here, I hope to gain a fresh start in life. I didn't really know what I was getting into coming here, but I'm glad I came. My counselor suggested it, and I thought it sounded scary but interesting. I also thought it might be exactly what I needed. I plan on going to college, so this is a great stepping stone for me. I am grateful to be here!
