Why Support Children Affected by Addiction?

1 in 4 children in the U.S. live in a home affected by addiction. For decades, we’ve ministered to men, women, and teens through our recovery programs. Now, we’re extending that mission to their children—because addiction affects the whole family. Children impacted by addiction often experience emotional wounds, instability, and spiritual confusion. Through H.O.P.E. Kids, we offer them guidance, healing, and a Christ-centered foundation for life.

A New Mission in 2024

Thanks to a generous grant from Lilly Endowment Inc., Adult & Teen Challenge of Texas is launching a new initiative to foster prayer and worship in the lives of children affected by addiction. This effort empowers them with tools for spiritual growth and healing.

Our Goal

We aim to reach:

• Children of adults in our recovery programs
• Younger siblings of teens in our centers
• Children in families served by our wider ministry

…and help them build a lifelong rhythm of prayer, worship, and hope in Jesus.
